Performance Power
Tanya Gershon, founder of SASAI (South African Street Art Initiative) and curator of ‘Taking it to the Street: The Art of Public Life’, facilitated a discussion on performance art and access to public space. This event questioned and critiqued Gershon’s latest project, ‘Performance Power’, an educational policy pamphlet to guide performers through the permitting process to rent public spaces in the CBD and greater Johannesburg.
